GOV. DAVID IGE TODAY ASKED VISITORS TO REDUCE TRAVEL TO THE ISLANDS until COVID counts go down. During a press conference, the governor also asked, "Is a lockdown on the table?" He replied to his own question, saying, " Yes, it would be if the number of cases continues to grow exponentially as it has in the last 10 weeks ." He said, "We will have to take action to limit and ensure that the hospitals aren’t overrun.”  He also encouraged the unvaccinated to take the COVID shots, to stay at home, if sick, wear masks and to refrain from gathering in large groups.
